Wisp is a boss enemy that appears in the original Breath of Fire.

Role in Breath of Fire

Wisps are spirit-like beings that serve as guardians to the sorceress Bleu, also knows as Deis. You must defeat a few of them to prove that you are worth of awakening her.

Role in Breath of Fire II

In Breath of Fire II Wisps play a smaller role, with Bleu being an optional character to obtain. If you find Wisdon in the desert, you can speak to the Wisps which make Bleu available to get.
