SlimeX is a boss enemy that appears in the original Breath of Fire.

Role in Breath of Fire

This boss can be found in Nabal castle after the grimfowls storm it. It consists of three orange-colored dark dragon members, which transform into gelatinous enemies known as SlimeX. After their initial defeat, they fuse together to form a larger boss, which is also called SlimeX.

Strategy

Defeat the first two SlimeX as quickly as possible by concentrating on them one at a time. After that, heal up and keep your HP high while defeating the third one. Immediately after its defeat, the enemies will fuse together into a stronger form. Since you'll have a chance to recover at an inn after this, use your strongest transformations and fusions. Nina should heal while Ryu, Karn, and Bley concentrate on dealing damage.
