Primus (ド・ブンバ・ラ, Do bunba ra?) also known as Boombada in Breath of Fire II is a recurring ability throughout the Breath of Fire series.

Breath of Fire II[]

Boombada causes non-elemental damage to all enemies equal to half of their remaining HP. It has no effect in battles where the party does not have the option of escape, such as encounters with boss enemies. It is one of the game's two hidden spells that cannot be learned through leveling up. In order to gain access to it, the player must assist a Namanda Temple monk in ringing the convocation bells via a rhythm based mini-game. Upon its completion, the monk will teach the ability to a single party member of the player's choice.

Breath of Fire IV[]

Primus causes heavy non-elemental damage to all enemies. It is a magical attack, and therefore calculates its base damage from the user's Wisdom stat. However, unlike most magical attacks, it uses the target's Breath resistance, rather than Magical resistance, in order to calculate damage resistance.

Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter[]

Pre-Primus causes non-elemental damage to all enemies equal to a quarter of their remaining HP.

Primus causes non-elemental damage to all enemies equal to half of their remaining HP.
