Portal Drives are pieces of technology left behind from the Age of Machines. Controlled by certain Relay Points, they allow objects to travel freely from one Portal Drive to another. Before the party has access to these however, they must activate the two Relay Points located in Wyndia and the Steel Beach. The one in Wyndia is activated when Rei and Nina tries to escape from the castle, as Honey runs beforehand and inputs a code into the panel. The one in Steel Beach activates when the team fixes the antenna on the roof, correctly aligning it to the Portal Drives on the Lost Shore and Desert.
Portal Drives exist in the following locations:
- Relay Point A (Steel Beach)
- Colony
- Dragnier
- Container Yard
- Relay Point B
- Relay Point B (Wyndia)
- Dauna Region (Emitai's Hut)
- Yraall Region
- Wyndia (Durandal's Hut)
