Missables refer to items, skills, and other facets of the Breath of Fire games that can only be obtained during a limited time as the player advances through the game.

Breath of Fire[]

  • IronRP - Can only be purchased in Nanai.
  • ThunderRP - Can only be purchased in Prima flea market stage 1.
  • Sleeper - Can only be purchased in Prima flea market stage 2.
  • DarkDR - Can only be purchased in Prima flea market stage 2.

Breath of Fire II[]

  • Herb x 2
  • TreePole - In the dresser in Gate once you first begin controlling Ryu.
  • 100 zenny
  • FireRock - In Mt. Fubi after the boss fight against the Harpies but before falling down the hole.
  • SaladBwl - In Mt. Fubi after the boss fight against the Harpies but before falling down the hole.
  • Van.Ext - In DryWell, before leaving Terapin's chamber after slaying it.
  • Charm - In Drywell, before leaving Terapin's chamber after slaying it.
  • Chopchop - Can only be obtained before Jean asks you to obtain the Royal Ring.
  • CharmRod
  • Barose - In Inheart, before defeating Aruhamel; only recruitable if the second set of houses in Township have been completed and House 4 is not already occupied
  • Solo - Must donate money at Namanda 20 times before encountering Daisy in Evrai
  • EmpireSD - Obtained from a fishing spot only reachable by Great Bird; no longer available after visiting Gate post-Evrai.

Breath of Fire III[]

  • Melted Blade - Examine Mogu's body after the game's first battle.
  • Wallet - You can keep it if you stay away from the spotlight of some guard at south, just stand still at his side while he is facing south then move when he change directions.
  • Dagger x 2 - Initial weapons for Ryu and Teepo. Don't leave them equipped on Teepo or Rei before the battle with Balio and Sunder, which takes place after the McNeil Mansion scenario.
  • Flier (Talk with a Manillo hiding between Genmel shop entrance and the outer wall)
  • Tsunami (Enemy Skill only used by 3 Bosses: Dolphin, Ammonite and Sample 6)
  • Flower Jewel (copy it in Faerie Village once Ryu became adult so you can keep a copy and still be able to get Meryleep as a Master)
  • Cheese (Choose 1st option "yes" once you examine a rat in Wyndia Castle wine cellar)
  • Bread (Not really 100% missable since you can get a few from Cabinets, but once Ryu became an adult you won't be able to buy it from Wyndia shop, so get 1-99 before Angel Tower)
  • Feather Sword (Once Ryu became an adult In Dauna Mine, push the cart to a Chest at the bottom before you fight Dragon Zombie)
  • Beast Spear - Examine Gaist's ashes after you defeat him in battle and before you go outside.
  • Deis as a Master - Choose the 2nd option "I like you this way" once you meet her in Mt. Zublo.
  • Part B x 2 (Steel Beach spare parts not required for story progression and cannot be copied in Faerie Village)
  • Part E x 1 (Steel Beach spare parts not required for story progression and cannot be copied in Faerie Village)
  • Part F x 1 (Steel Beach spare parts not required for story progression and cannot be copied in Faerie Village)
  • Part G x 2 (Steel Beach spare parts not required for story progression and cannot be copied in Faerie Village)
  • Vinegar (You won't be able to get more once you meet Kukuys/Legendary Mariner, so get 1-99 as soon as you finish Shisu quest).
  • Shally Seed (You won't be able to get more once you meet Kukuys/Legendary Mariner, so get 1-99 as soon as you finish Shisu quest).
  • Missable items in cabinets (There is 94 in game and if you set a Inn in the Faerie Village and put a 3rd Faerie it will mention how many items you found in cabinets):
    • Rei house has 3 items in cabinets (return here for the 3rd one once Ryu gets his equipment)
    • McNeil Manor has 14 items in cabinets
    • Wyndia Castle has 7 items in cabinets (upper areas, not including the basement)
    • Genmel's Contest of Champions area has 4 items in cabinets
  • Missable items in chests (484 total):
    • There are 3 missable chests in Ryu's Dream: Shamans Ring, Hourglass, and Gems.

Breath of Fire IV[]

  • Rice Ball - Obtained from Mami before visiting Mt. Yogy as Fou-Lu.
