Mark of the Wing (つばさのあかし, Tsubasa no akashi?) is a key item in Breath of Fire II. It is required to gain access to the Great Bird.
Story[]
At the time Breath of Fire II takes place, the Mark of the Wing is the last remaining vestige of the Wing Clan's ability to turn into birds. It is kept by the Windian royal family, allegedly the only ones who can still use it.
When the group are looking for a way to reach Evrai, Nina comes up with a solution and proposes going to Windia for aid. Despite the Windians and her family trying to dissuade her from it, she makes her mind up and obtains the Mark from the Guardian. However, Mina steals the Mark during the night and uses it herself to spare Nina.
