Inns are a recurring feature of the Breath of Fire series. They appear as a common facility in towns, where the party can pay a small fee to rest at them thereby restoring their HP and AP to their full values. In Breath of Fire III, the player can also save their progress at them.

In Breath of Fire III' and Breath of Fire IV, party members will have their maximum HP temporarily decreased if they fall in battle and aren't revived before the battle's completion. The only way to return such a character's HP to its original value reduced HP is by staying at an inn. Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter is the only game in the series in which inns do not appear.
