Dealing over 5 combo hits only on the Goo Count will cause it to start using Icicle, a learnable water-based spell. If there are more enemies with the Goo Count, don't attack them. The best strategy is to use attack type skills (like Wild Shot or Flame Strike) only on Goo Count. It will also increase its power by 1.2x, EXP and Zenny by 2x.
