- — Fu Chuman
Fu Chuman is a non-playable character who appears in Breath of Fire IV. He is a merchant and valuables collector who lives in Chiqua, a town in the Zhinga Mountains region of the Western Continent.
Role in Breath of Fire IV[]
In order to continue their journey to the capital, it is necessary to supply the merchant Fu Chuman with one of three rare items in exchange for information:
- Flawed Gem Dragon Crystal from En Jhou ruins (valuable!)
- A Jar from Koshka (easy to get, takes time, 20 battles)
- Shisu - three rare fish (either same species or mix)
He will then explain that there is a River to the South which can be used to travel to Chedo. The party then proceeds further on their journey. After he receives the treasure for advancing the plot, he will also exchange the item required for the Treasure Ball Sidequest which is required for learning Marlok's abilities.
Etymology[]
- The character's name appears to be derived from Fu Manchu, a fictional character from an early-twentieth century series of British crime fiction novels (see Breath of Fire IV Translations, translator's note).
