The Importance Scale is a scale of notability used to determine which aspects of the Breath of Fire world require articles.

Characters[]

Level Criteria Examples Result
A

Meets one of the following:

  • A playable character in any main-entry game
  • The character page of a final boss in any main entry game
  • A non-playable character who plays a significant role in multiple games (Fairies, Ventiloquist)
  • Create an in-depth article about the character, following the Manual of Style, including references from official sources
  • Add to the Breath of Fire characters template.
B

Meets one of the following:

  • Non-playable characters who are crucial to multiple major developments in the story of a game.
  • Non-playable characters who have a significant (non-cameo) presence in multiple main entry games.
  • Yua (Meets Criteria 1)
  • Elina (Meets Criteria 1)
  • Ladon (Meets Criteria 2)
  • Create an in-depth article about the character.
  • Add to the character template as a main character.
C

Meets one of the following:

  • Non-playable characters who are crucial to a major development in the game's story
  • Masters that don't meet the criteria for Level A or B.

Meets one of the following:

  • Create an in-depth article about the character.
  • Add to the character template as a notable character.
D

Meets one of the following:

  • Named or unnamed non-playable characters who are of minor significance to the game's story
  • Named characters who are of inconsequential plot significance themselves but possess dialogue that adds unique information to the story
  • Notable cameos that don't meet Level A, B, or C
  • Fiolina (Meets category 1)
  • Chun-Li (Meets category 3)
  • Add a section to the relevant game's characters page
DNQ

Meets one of the following:

  • Unnamed non-playable characters who serve no story function
  • Characters who are mentioned in one or more games but do not actually appear in any of them.
  • Orphanage children other than Chino (Meets Criteria 1)
  • Generic town residents (Meets Criteria 1)
  • Add a section to the relevant game's characters page

  • A location that is featured multiple times within a game.
  • Create an article about the location, including an internal screenshot of the location.

  • A named location or a location with a perceivable name, i.e. Checkpoint = Duna Checkpoint, Wyndia Checkpoint etc..., that features within a game.
  • Create an in-depth article about the location, including an internal screenshot of the location.
  • Add to the relevant Breath of Fire locations template.
D
  • An unnamed location within a game, i.e. "?", "!" etc....
  • Add a reference to it on the relevant game's locations page
