Augus is an antagonist that appears in Breath of Fire II. The is the manager of the Coliseum and is the one who schedules the fight between Katt and Baba, which then secretly becomes a fight between Katt and Ryu. Unbeknownst to the party, Augus is actually a demon working in the service of Deathevan.
Role in Breath of Fire II[]
Augus is the manager of the Coliseum Tournaments. He is first encountered in the Coliseum in Coursair when Ryu goes looking for the woman who framed Bow for her crime. Ryu finds himself participating in the tournament when he heard the "girl" he is looking for may be one of the fighters.
Augus speaks to Ryu of the fight and how it's being fixed. The girl is to be shot with a poison dart, tortured, then killed by Ryu. He is shocked by this and then seeks help from Rand, who he met earlier before the fight. After the fight, the group goes and confronts Augus in his office. He then turns into a monstrous beast and attacks. Before his death, he mumbles about how they cannot stop God by simply defeating him and how God's world is coming. This baffles Ryu and his friends as they get the feeling something isn't right.
